a month ago i was over at joel's house giving his room a makeover. Took us two days to have his room painted up with a fresh coat of white and peppermint.

It took us 2 hours to scrape off all those sticky tapes off the wall. -_-

and then it was time to paint

And then it was my turn. painted my over the weekend with fresh coat of glory red and rustic brown. the overall look was much more cosier albeit smaller.

so it began like this

My lil helper mong, came over to help out =) i love her so much

She did this paper hat for us and insisted we wear them!

But of course we didnt wear it while painting. kept falling off. haha

The room's still not done yet. I'm intending to get pictures from ikea
to hang up to give a cozier look. i've gotta save save save to get'em. oh by the way, i'll be starting work @ raffles as of tomorrow. wish me luck!

can my musical talents be any better? /6:52 PM

am i pathetic or what? Now that i'm intending to pick up my piano again, i got my keys stucks. And i got a guitar from yt who just bought it from daryl for 10 bucks. (You see, he has to sell one of his SIX!! guitars) I get to keep it for 2 years while yt is in NS. Thing is, now it's out of tune as well. urgh so i'm waiting for Joel to come over to rid the guitar bag (not mine) of a COCKROACH so i can bring it out to have my friend tune it. ughh. so i tried strumming to the tune of howie day's collide and still.. i couldnt play much of the stumming right. sigh.. and.. guess what. i went on youtube to you know, see how people play it. And there were so many of them i got demoralised at the end of it. =(

But you'll see that someday i'll be able to play keane's song like that

and strum like a pro like that (now isnt he cute? ok focus.)

someday somehow. and that i'll be proud enough to load it up on youtube like the whole world does and i'll be a step closer to becoming a rockstar.

NOT.

i just wanna play an instrument well.
sigh..

Happy New Year One and all! /12:19 AM

Hey folks. A Happy HAPPY NEW YEAR to one and all. Had been tied up with the festive celebrations and what not. So here's a lil peek into how my Christmas (which coincidently happens to be my first year with Joel) and the NewYear went..

On Christmas day..

This was my christmas gift to him (:

i made him open it halfway through dinner and he got really touched after looking at it =)

which made me very happy (:

Had dinner at Novotel Hotel at Clarke Quay. Even though it was buffet style the food were all very exotic i have to say. XO pineapple rice, turkey and so many other quirky small dishes to go along. Dessert section was the best yet. There were so many to chose from. Fruit cocktail, puddings, mouse, shepard's pie, fondue.. Ate so much that it took me like half an hour lazzing around the hotel's couch before i could walk steadily out of it without feeling queasy. Haha embarassing but true.

He got really crazed over the fondue thingy and we were intending of getting one of the machines ourselves.

Me savouring every bite of it. Actually i got so full by the time i reached the dessert section i only ate two sticks.

Yum yum YUM!

After dinner, we strolled around clarke quay and they had it live band going on. The crowd and ambience was, i'd say, much better that town's.

Joel opening my 2nd gift back at home. I lead him to the cupboard where he found he's present lying awaiting to be recieved.

And he actually teared for the first time =')

He have me a beautiful blue rose! and something else (that made me really touched too) that i'd leave it to you guys to imagine. (and no its not lingerie haha)

And... on new year's day, i spend it counting down at nightwatch. Had so much fun in the presence of God it was amazing. Everyone was just screaming and yelling and jumping around, it was crazy. And i'm also so grateful for a wonderful cell that i'm still new to. Everyone in the cell were so welcoming and sucha lovely bunch of friends to be with. Looking forward to more in 2007.

And there you have it, my cell mates.

After countdown, joel and i proceeded to meet the rest of the ODACIANS for chalet at downtown and we had joel's aunt to drive her lorry and have us picked up at the interchange. We spend the entire night talking about travis 2 weeks stint so far at Tekong. He had so much to tell us.

And yep thats about it for now. till than folks! =)
